F.T. Island’s Hongki joining a new band?

Is F.T. Island's frontman leaving and joining a new band? Well he is set to be in a new band but he's definitely not leaving F.T. Island. If he did, I'm more than sure there will be an uproar in an instant.

SBS has released a photo of Hongki's new band for his upcoming drama You're Beautiful airing on October 7th! If his bandmates look a little familiar to you, Jang Geun Suk is the one on the left and the one in the middle is Yonghwa from the Japanese band C.N. Blue (the Japanese counterpart of F.T. Island). The other behind the scenes photos include actress Park Shin Hye who will be playing both a male and a female.

The drama is about an idol group who are in search for a new member when one of them (Park Shin Hye) gets injured, his twin sister (also played by Park Shin Hye) disguises herself as him. It is a bit similar to past dramas but I'm probably going to be tuning in for this drama since I tend to be a sucker for anything involving music. And if Hongki's contributing to the music, how could you not watch it!?

Battle of the Acting Idols

This fall, your three favorite idols will be competing in, not music charts, but TV ratings!
Three different idols will be appearing on three different dramas on three different broadcasting companies. I smell a battle of the idols!

◇ MBC - Jung Yunho (Uknow-Yunho) (TVXQ)

As the leader of the five-member pop group TVXQ, Jung Yunho will be appearing as the protagonist on "Heading to the Ground" airing on September 9th after "Hon" finishes. In this drama, he will be acting with Go Ara, and play the role of a passionate soccer player. "Heading to the Ground" will attempt to break the chain of failures of sports-related dramas. My opinion? With an astounding number of dedicated fans, they won't have to worry about ratings. Well, unless it sucks...real bad...like "Dream".

◇ SBS - Kim Heechul (Super Junior)

Kim Heechul will be representing his 13-member group, Super Junior as a supporting actor on "I Love You Ten Million Times". This drama already aired on August 29th. Lee Soo Kyung and Jung Kyo Woon are the main actors. Park Soo Jin will be the other supporting actress, and we expect quite a connection between the current idol (Heechul) and ex-idol (Soo Jin: ex-Sugar).

◇ KBS - T.O.P

We all know much about T.O.P's drama, "Iris" which will air on October 14th. Although T.O.P will only be a supporting actor, the superb main cast including Lee Byung Hun and Kim Tae Hee will sure shine the drama. "Iris" will be the first "spy" drama. T.O.P plays the role of a cold assassin.

More idols on screen:
FT Island's Lee Hong Ki will be appearing on SBS's "You're Beautiful". On the other hand, TVXQ's JaeJoong and Changmin will be appearing on different mini dramas of the "Telecinema Project": JaeJoong on "Heaven's Postman", and Changmin on "Paradise Meadow".

Idols have dominated the music scene, and now they're ready to conquer the drama scene as well. Before we know it, they will take over the world! Wait...I think that's already in progress.

Park Shin Hye is Jang Geun Suk’s girl in You’re Beautiful

We reported earlier that Jang Geun Suk will be leading the idol drama, You're Beautiful which is produced by the famous Hong Sisters. News came today that the female lead for the drama will be actress, Park Shin Hye. According to a SBS representative, they decided on Jang Geun Suk and Park Shin Hye because their image fitted well with the drama's concept of bright and cheerfulness.

You're Beautiful is a drama that revolves around the life of the members in an idol group in their 10s. The drama will follow the love interests and hardships of these idols. It will focus mainly on Jang Geun Suk as a boy from the countryside and how he becomes an idol group member by chance. Park Shin Hye will play a pair of twins (dual role?) and act out a love triangle with Jang Geuk Suk's character.


This is not the first time that Jang Geun Suk and Park Shin Hye has been paired up together. They were seen as a campus couple in a CF for Etude in February and also shared a kiss. So it will be like an extension of their love story from CF to drama.



You're Beautiful is set for broadcast in October after Swallow The Sun.

Jang Geun Suk is an Idol Star for SBS - Hong Sisters Idol Drama Collaboration

Earlier this month, it was reported that SBS and the famous Hong Sisters, Hong Jung Eun & Hong Mi Ran, were producing an idol drama. Looks like the main male lead has been found and it's kind of a surprise.

Actor Jang Geun Suk will be returning to the small screen for SBS drama You’re Beautiful, a year after wrapping up filming for his MBC drama Beethoven Virus as the second male lead. After rejecting the chance be in Boys Over Flowers, Jang Geun Suk has now got a second chance to star in an idol drama. You’re Beautiful is set for broadcast in October after Swallow The Sun as a Wed-Thurs drama and faces the Yunho-led soccer drama plus Lee Byung Hun's IRIS.


You're Beautiful is a drama that revolves around the life of the members in an idol group in their 10s. The drama will follow the love interests and hardships of these idols. It will focus mainly on Jang Geun Suk as a boy from the countryside and how he becomes an idol group member. With the main lead settled, fans are now curious to see who will be paired up with him and the rest of the cast members.

I’m personally very excited for this drama because it’s got a hunk Jang Geun Suk, as the main lead and has a pretty interesting story line as well. Although there's the matter of who will be the other cast members, Jang Geun Suk himself is plenty of eye candy as is. Not only that, but I’m sure that there will be plenty of cameos by current idol groups like SNSD and 2PM; now that’ll be an awesome drama.

Jae Hee: Another Korean Celebrity to Crash Hollywood

It seems that another Korean actor will be making his way to Hollywood very soon, and this time its Jae Hee!

Most of you may know him from dramas like "Witch Yoo Hee", "1 Mom, 3 Dads" and movies like "3-Iron" and "The Art of Fighting." Now he'll display his skills in Hollywood in the live-action movie version of the Namco's hit game, "Tekken." Jae Hee is set to be playing the character Hwoarang, a 19 year old Taekwondo master in the (supposed) 2009 film.

Jae Hee is quite the eye candy so you best believe I'll be checking this one out... will you?

Suju watches Cebu Inmates’ cover of “Sorry Sorry”

Dance and song covers aren't a new concept, but it's not every day that the celebrities themselves actually check them out! ..But then again, it's not every day that you see hundreds of prison inmates dancing in perfect synchronization to "Sorry Sorry".

Super Junior's Kangin, Shindong and Eunhyuk took a break from their busy schedules to watch the Filipino UCC - This video has been out for a while now, but it's worth watching these idols admire what has spawned from their own creations. The three shared nothing but praise for the Cebu inmates; after watching the clip, Eunhyuk exclaimed, "everyone really was perfect.. so amazing!"

Okay, so lots of things happened.

My mother just bought me a webcam and a new headphone!
Wee..me so so hapii!!!

Last Saturday, Aug 21, 2009, we had a cookout for the GSP.
Whehehhe...We tried to cook rice, humba, utan, fried fish and ICED TEA.
Bwahahhaha

So here are the results:
rice - quite raw because Janelle forgot to add the exact amount of water but it's okay
utan - urhmm...hahaha...not quite good but passable
fried fish - I & Glenna scaled it, got out the intestines, salted it, marinated it and cooked it.
The outcome is good. Many loved the fish. Thanks to the secret ingredient, the marinate of Lovely.
humba - THE BEST! The sad part is that Nich, who cooked it for us, did not eat it because she said she doesn't like to eat humba.
iced tea - the simplest. duh...haha

Also, I talked about Skip Beat during the Cookout.
That's because the latest chapter, 145 is so damn great!
SHO KISSED KYOKO!!!
Bwahahahahhaha!! I really really love that.
Uwaaahhhh...the mangaka is really a genius.

Yesterday, Aug 23, 2009, I downloaded songs from the Romantic Period.
Boy, it's not that easy to research the types and download it.
But I guess it's quite worth it because I get to hear very nice opera songs from it.

I've also learned that Tchaikovsky composed the background song
wherein THE SIMS are makin' out...
Yup..it's the Romeo and Juliet Love Theme..

SNSD Genie Dance Rehearsal

I always love watching dance rehearsals or dance MV
You know, it makes us fans want to try to dance their songs also!
And shows how talented they are!

SNSD is not an exemption to that of course!
I've always thought that Into the New World is their best routine ever
but I guess other of their catchy songs are quite great too.
Gee is simple but cute
And now, Genie is giving us a sexy-like aura.

It looks easy and simple that people would say that it's easy to copy.
Yes, that might be quite right, but for me it's not.
Their performance is so great that it gives me the chills.

Well, better look at it.
It's really really worth watching!



So yeah, you could really see their synchronization.
And wow! Their bodies were shaking like hella!
Of course I could shake my hips and do that dance
BUT doing that while singing and dancing exactly in the rehearsal is quite impossible for me
All of them look so nice.
I bet the key here is their synchronization, their energy and charm that they give off
during their live dance and song performance.

So yeah, I realized that SeoHyun, their maknae is so cute!
The last part with her being the center is so wow!
I also love her shirt!

Acquaintance Party

Okay..
So yesterday night was the Acquaintance Party!
Horray!

I thought I will not enjoy the party since the Karaoke is not present
It's one of my past time when I have nothing to do
But I guess you could really enjoy things if you just find a way to enjoy it too

One of my classmate Cris, acted like he was inside a TV
but to be honest, he's just inside the cabinet under the TV
[in which it is not so visible to the naked eye for him to find]

Of course there are prizes and games.
I and my mother participated too!
Hahha..we received prizes from the class and Tita Daisy!
Me is so so so glad! [I got Php 20]

So I participated in the disco
You know, I really had to because it's the last Acquaintance Party
and I don't want to leave school without regrets

I'm uber glad that the disco featured some K-pop songs
like Fire, Nobody & Sorry Sorry.
I was so so amazed at the 3rd yrs because more or less,
7 boys know the dance of Super Junior's Sorry Sorry.
I mean, they really KNOW the dance
and they even give out a Suju-like aura because of their performance
I was so glad to see that.

Of course, I really danced that night
It's disco you know...ahhahah

Today, we had a class in CAT.
I thought that there are many of us who attended but actually there are just few of us.
Of course, there are the naning ones and the responsible ones who did come.
